To prepare the medicine:

Active substance: lespedeza bicolor shoots – 555,5 g

Excipients: ethanol (ethyl spirit) 95% -in quantity sufficient to produce 555,5 ml of extract,Anise oil – 0,55g, gelatin – 5,5 g, purified water – to produce 1 liter.

 Description

 A liquid varying in color from light-brown with orange hue to red-brown, original odor, during the storage precipitate is admitted.

 Pharmacological properties

Lespeflan®contains bio active additives which increase kidney filtration, reduce azotemia, increase diuresis; removes sodium and potassium. 

Indications

It is used by adults in complex therapy as hypoazotemic and diuretic remedy in chronic renal failure (of different origin, in latent and intermittent stages).

 Contra-indications

Hypersensitivity to the drug ingredients, children under 18 years, liver disease, alcoholism, brain diseases, pregnancy, lactation. It is not recommended for patients using drugs which suppress central nervous system, insulin, hypoglycemic remedies, drugs that may cause intolerance to ethanol.

 Directions and dosage

It is recommended to shake before use. It is allowed to dilute Lespeflan® with water. Lespeflan® is used orally 5-15 ml (1 teaspoon – 1 tablespoon)3-4 times a day before meals. Course of treatment is 3-4 weeks.

If necessary the course of treatment may be prolonged till 6 weeks. The course of treatment can be repeated after 2 weeks.

 Side effects

May cause allergic reactions.Rarely may cause hyponatremia.

 Other medicines interactions

Due to the presence of ethanol it is not recommended for patients using drugs which suppress central nervous system, insulin, hypoglycemic remedies (metformin, sulfonylureas), drugs that may cause intolerance to ethanol.

 Special note

Ethanol content (in terms of absolute alcohol) in a maximum daily dose is from 6,3 till 18,9 g. It should be considered during joint appointment of several drugs.

If hyponatremia it is necessary to use sodium medicines.

 The effect of the medicine on the ability to operate machines and cars

Due to the presence of ethanol it may reduce the rate of psychomotor reactions. During the treatment period you should refrain from running cars, hazardous activities that require attention and psychomotor speed reactions.

 Storage Conditions

Store in a dark place, temperature from 15 till 25° C.
