ARALIA TINCTURE

(Tinctura Araliae)

Dosage form: tincture

To prepared 1000 ml of tincture:  the roots of aralia Manchurica – 200 g + 70%  ethanol (ethyl alcohol) in a quantity sufficient to produce 1000 ml of tincture.

Description

A transparent liquid of yellow color, spicy flavor and specific odor.

 Pharmacotherapeutical Group:  general tonic of plant origin.

Pharmacological Properties:

Stimulates central nervous system (exceeds ginseng tincture of activity) , produces tonic, hypertensive, hypoglycemic effect. It improves appetite, sleep. It enhances redox processes in body tissues, increases phagocytic activity of white blood cells and body resistance.

Indications

Used as a tonic and stimulant for asthenia, when decreased libido, neurasthenia, depression, after meningitis, traumatic brain injury, contusion, acute respiratory viral infection, enuresis, radiation sickness, physical and mental fatigue.

 Directions and Dosage

Adults and children over 12 years old may use orally 30-40 drops 2-3 times a day (morning and middle of a day). Course of treatment is 15-30 days. To repeat a treatment course – consult a doctor.

Contra-indications

Arterial hypertension (high arterial pressure), hyperexcitability, epilepsy, convulsive conditions, sleep disorders, acute infectious and viral diseases, chronic liver diseases. Not recommended for women during pregnancy or nursing a baby, for children under 12 years old.

 Special Notes:

Not recommended to take in the afternoon as it may cause sleep disorders.

 Side Effects

Rarely may cause tachycardia, headache, palpitation. In these cases, discontinue use of the product.

Tincture in 50- and 100-ml glass bottles.

 Shelf Life.

3 years.

Do not use after the date indicated on the package.

 Storage Conditions

Store in a dark, cool place, temperature  from 8 till 15 ° C.

 Store out of reach of children.
